Abstract

This presentation begins by describing the current trend of parallel computing and how the emerging HW and SW technology pushes the entire spectrum of parallel computing from tightly integrated multi-thread software to loosely coupled Serviced Oriented Architecture and Grid computing. The speaker will talk about several areas such as Open MP, MPI, and Grid in depth and from that to discuss the new software tools for parallel computing and how software developers should respond to this challenge of new technology paradigm.
