14 Aircrafts Hijacked in China
发表时间:2008-04-02 08:14:32On March 31st, 14 aircrafts were hijacked in the Yunnan Province of China. All these aircrafts were operated by China Eastern Airlines. Surprisingly, the hijackers were all captains-on-duty aboard these aircrafts.
According to a news release by Nanfang Daily, these aircrafts took off at Kunming International Airport and were destinated at Dali, Lijiang, Banna, Mangshi, Simao and Linchang. Upon arriving their destinations the passengers were told that their aircrafts were not able to land due to weather conditions. All 14 aircrafts then returned to Kunming, which caused a wide range of delays and cancles across the country. At the same time, flights operated by other airlines on the same routes were operating as usual. According to an unnamed employee from China Eastern Airlines, the captains-on-duty choosed to return to Kunming because they were not satisfied with their pay level, or were not able to join other airlines due to their current contract with China Eastern Airlines. At this point an official data on the total number of passengers aboard these aircrafts is not available to the public. But it is estimated to be over a thousand based on the type of aircrafts on duty.
It is unlikely that the captains-on-duty were not awared a simple fact -- they were committing a severe crime by hijacking their own aircrafts. By definition, hijacking refers to the seisure of a vehicle in transite either to rob it or divert it to another destination. These captains-on-duty might indeed be low in their salary, but it is astonishing that they plotted and executed a plan that put the lives of thousands of passengers aboard their aircrafts at risk.
On April 2nd, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) announced that it will investigate into the accident and severely punish the persons involved -- the highest punishment is to revoke their pilot's license for a life time. This announcement clearly passed a message to the whole world: hijacking an aircraft in transit in China is legal!
As a frequent flyer, I am deeply concerned by the situation in China. If such a severe crime is not prosecuted and punished by the law, how can people ever board an airplane with peace in mind?

东航云南分公司航班集体返航 疑因飞行员罢工

昨天一天内,中国东方航空云南分公司从昆明飞往大理、丽江、版纳、芒市、思茅和临沧六地共14个航班返航,航班飞到目的地上空后,乘客被告知无法降落, 又都飞回昆明,这导致昆明机场更多的航班延误。东航方面给出的解释是“因天气原因”,而同一天飞往上述地区的其他航空公司航班则正常降落。据东航的一名工 作人员透露,航班集体返航事件,诱因可能是两天前在飞行员的宿舍流传的一封公开信,信中列出4条飞行员“应该警醒”的理由,提到该公司待遇低、机师跳槽还 遭遇天价索赔等。一名飞行员接受记者采访时表示“这封信得到了大家的认同”。本报讯 “得到的答复都是因为受天气影响,怎么那么多航班延误都是天气原因,又怎么都集中在同一家航空公司?”昨日,一天内,中国东方航空云南分公司14个航班返 航,导致昆明机场更多的航班延误。下午5时许,记者赶到昆明机场大厅时,只见该航空公司值机柜台前滞留着约上百名旅客,经过几个小时的折腾,每名旅客都显 得非常疲惫。“我们要退票!我们要改签!”最靠近柜台的旅客手拿机票,用力伸长手递进柜台。
飞到目的地上空又折返
乘坐东航MU5943航班前往思茅的杜先生很纳闷,“上午11点就该起飞的航班,拖到中午1点40分才飞,乘务员的解释是‘要等思茅那边的飞机 起飞后,这边才能起飞’。”杜先生说。起飞时间比预定时间推迟了近两个小时,但接下来又发生了令杜先生更郁闷的事情。“飞机在思茅上空转了一圈,乘务员告 诉我们‘因天气原因’飞机无法降落,要返回昆明。”下午3点15分左右,杜先生搭乘的航班又降落在昆明机场的停机坪上。
杜先生来到该航空公司设在候机大厅的值机柜台时吃了一惊。“柜台前面围满了人,我数了数大概有120多人。”杜先生说,“我一打听才知道,不但去思茅的航班是这样,到大理、丽江、芒市、临沧还有昭通的航班情况都和我们差不多。”
航班信息显示无飞行员愿飞
搭乘该航空公司MU5714航班的吴先生告诉记者,2点10分左右机上广播传出“15分钟后将到达丽江机场”,没想到飞机在丽江机场上空盘旋了 两圈后,空中广播又告知“因天气原因不能达到降机标准”飞机返航了。到昆明后,他们立即电话联系了在丽江接机的朋友,称乘坐其它航空公司航班的旅客都顺利 到达了丽江机场。他们向该航空公司的工作人员说了这个情况,得到的答复是:“该航空公司对天气安全的要求比较高,我们是对旅客的人身安全负责。”
昨日19点34分,记者来到了飞行楼。在公告栏“航班信息”中,记者发现有很多个航班安排的飞行员名字上都有修改的痕迹。“看得懂吗?”一名身着飞行服的男子主动问记者,“知道这是什么意思吗?这是没人飞,不愿意!”指着几处涂改液修改的地方,他说。
昆明国际机场消费者投诉中心昨日下午2点左右就陆续接到旅客的投诉,在场一名姓邹的工作人员称:“每年的春秋两季这个时候,总有一两天每家航空 公司都会出现因为天气原因而造成的航班延误,可今天关键就在于旅客们认为其他航空公司的航班都能正常降落,就正好是该航空公司的航班无法降落,所以乘客们 无法理解航空公司给出的天气原因所致这样的解释。”
两天前一封公开信 号召飞行员讨待遇
“不知道与两天前的那封信有没有关系。”一名该航空公司的工作人员告诉记者,两天前,飞行员的宿舍、飞行楼里,贴出了很多封“致东航云南公司全体飞行员的一封信”,这信还塞进了一些飞行员的房间里。
信中,历数了4条“应该警醒”的理由:一是相对同行而言,待遇太低;二是一些针对飞行员的检查使“飞行员的自尊心受到了巨大的伤害”;三是工资和补贴标准没有与税收标准接轨;第四条中,提到了“郑志宏”事件,质疑他曾遭到的天价索赔“这难道是公平之举吗”?
原中国东方航空云南分公司飞行员郑志宏曾因跳槽遭公司索赔1257万元,在国内创下飞行员跳槽遭索赔金额新高。
这封信的结尾处,提到“本着有益于自己身心健康,有益于飞行安全,有益于公司健康和谐发展的原则,望大家畅所欲言,同心协力”。
“我认为这封信得到了大家的认同。”一名飞行员接受记者采访时表示,“如果,我说的是如果!即便这是一次争取的话,也不是没有先例,几年前某航 空西南公司也发生过这样的情况:一天内有30多个航班”因天气原因“返航。”争取待遇倒在其次,这应该是飞行员改善生存环境的一种尝试。“《云南信息报》 供稿
